On the 12th of July, 2018, Japan reiterated its leadership on climate security, with its Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosting an international conference on climate change and fragility in the Asia-Pacific Region.

The event in Kenya focuses on coordination amongst regional actors with the aid of international actors, in support of the restoration of land and forests with an emphasis on the implementation.
