About Vice Admiral Lee Gunn

Lee Gunn served for 39 years in the United States Navy, 35 of those years as an officer. He commanded a frigate, a squadron of destroyers, and the Third Fleet Amphibious Force. Following retirement he became President of the Institute for Public Research at CNA, providing science-based analyses of complex problems in public policy: education, homeland security, justice, air traffic management and energy, water, climate and national security. After retiring again, Gunn formed The Gunn Group, security professionals working on issues in climate, energy, water and national security for U.S. state, county, regional and local decision-makers.
