Tariq Karim

Tariq Karim is currently Consultant to the World Bank for Regional Integration, South Asian Region and a Distinguished Fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation of India. Prior to taking up his present assignment, he was Bangladesh’s immediate past High Commissioner to India from August 20019 until October 2014 with the personal rank and status of a Minister of State. He played a seminal role in qualitatively improving the tone, tenor and substance of Bangladesh-India relations, dramatically reconfiguring them for the better. He also creatively initiated the process for embarking on sub-regional cooperation by Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal.
