About Swathi Veeravalli
Swathi Veeravalli is on part-time detail to the Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation with the Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance Bureau at the US Agency for International Development. In this role, Ms. Veeravalli works to fully integrate the impacts of climate and environmental security into national security priorities. Working with the G-7 Working Group on Climate Change and Fragility, she works to understand how compound climate-fragility risks pose serious threats to US and international security. Ms. Veeravalli is also an interdisciplinary research scientist at Geospatial Research Laboratory, Engineer Research and Development Center, US Army Corps of Engineers.
