Esther Schneider has joined IRIS as a Research Fellow in 2018. She specializes on the Sub-Saharan Africa region, development effectiveness and financing for development. Her work also focuses on questions of policy coherence and public sector governance in development strategies.
Prior to joining IRIS, she worked as part of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation Joint Support Team at the OECD and at the UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa in Addis Ababa as a Policy Analyst on Development Effectiveness and South-South Cooperation. She also worked for several years with civil society organizations in Haiti to advocate for citizen-based and long-term development strategies within the post-earthquake reconstruction process.
Esther holds a Master in International Law/International Administration from University Paris I/Panthéon-Sorbonne.
