Workshop on Water in Post-Conflict Situations and the Role of the Security Council

On 15 and 16 February, 2018, Lund University (Sweden), the Geneva Water Hub and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted an expert workshop on: "Water in Post-Conflict Situations and the Role of the Security Council". Two PSI consortium experts, Tobias von Lossow (Clingendael) and Florian Krampe (SIPRI) ,participated in the workshop.

Mr. von Lossow participated in the workshop on: "The Control of Dams in Recent Armed Conflicts". Mr. von Lossow discussed the weaponisation of water in Syria and Iraq, the risks for water infrastructures in post-conflict settings, and potential entry points for protecting dams and water facilities.
