The 2016 PS conference will include an exhibition of a selection of the maps especially commissioned for the 2015 PS conference and produced by Philippe Rekacewicz. Philippe is a French-American geographer, cartographer, information designer and journalist based in Norway and perhaps best known for his leading role in producing the geopolitical atlases published periodically by Le Monde diplomatique in up to 15 languages.
For the 2015 conference he produced more than 25 maps and charts on Planetary Security all of which appear in 2015 conference report.
Like a picture which tells a thousand words, each of the maps illustrates key planetary security themes or provides an excellent overview of the interdependent issues within the wider environmental / geopolitical contexts for whole regions and sub-regions.
