Side event on climate security at COP23

The PSI side event on climate security risks will take place on Friday November 17 in the German Pavillon. It discusses how climate change acts as a “threat multiplier”, aggravating already fragile situations and contributing to security risks. This event will focus on areas for which climate change poses an immediate threat to public safety and an existential threat in the long-term, such as the Lake Chad crisis and the Small Island States.
