Using Foresight Tools to Manage Systemic Risk

Scenario exercises, gaming and other foresight tools that can capture the complexity of climate and security interactions and provide a basis for decision-making and action will the subjects of this working group. The session will introduce participants to these tools, and build practical skills for participants to use them in their professional settings, in order to make better risk management decisions. Working group organisers will also survey participants to define their information needs in order to fine-tune foresight tool development. The working group will also preview quantitative and qualitative tools that are currently in development, which can be examined in more depth in the follow up to the conference.
