The Economics of Planetary Security

Enhancing situational understanding and prioritising policy options for governments and the private sector on strengthening economic resilience of countries under climate stress require a better understanding of the economic resilience of countries regarding climate change effects and the development of possible policy options for enhancing the resilience of countries. To address these issues, an analytical framework has been developed.

Objectives

  • Enhance situational understanding and prioritise policy options for governments and private sector on strengthening economic resilience of countries under climate stress

  • Improve understanding of the economic resilience of countries regarding climate change effects

  • Discuss the main drivers and importance of different types of information

  • Discuss the analytical framework developed for the index

  • Develop possible policy options for enhancing the resilience of countries
