Mr. Laxman Prasad Upreti

Laxman Upreti is the Executive Director of the NEFEJ and looks over all the activities and programs concerning the organization, including Radio Sagarmatha, the first independent community radio in South Asia.
He started his career as a television journalist in 1985 and was engaged with NHK Japan as the country correspondent for 20 years. He served as the President for NEFEJ for four different periods. He has coordinated different climate change programmes, including national and local plans and campaigns with initiative of Government of Nepal. He has produced many reports and documentaries concerning environment and climate change.
