Public event in The Hague: the Impact of Water Stress on Global Security

On February 27,2 018, The Hague based JASON Institute for Peace and Security Studies will hold a public event on the "Impact of Water Stress on Global Security". The public event will see lectures from PSI consortium experts Tobias von Lossow (Clingendael) and Michel Rademaker (HCSS).

In his lecture on on "Water and Conflict: Scarcity, Dispute and Weaponization" Mr. von Lossow will shed light on the competition over scarce resources, look into the dynamics of water conflicts and discuss the myth of water wars. He will also touch upon the role of water during arned conflict, particularly the weaponization of water.

The event will start at 18:30 and end at 21:00, at "Het Nutshuis", Riviervismarkt 5, 2513 AM The Hague, Netherlands.
