Planetary Security in the spotlight at Stockholm Water Week

This year the Planetary Security Initiative (PSI) will co-organise a workshop at the World Water Week in Stockholm. The workshop looks at addressing conflict risks in climate adaptation and mitigation efforts and is a follow-up the PSI working group on water and security, accompanied by the publication of ‘Water, climate and conflict: security risks on the increase?’ (see link). During this session speakers will address the potential impact of climate change on migration and conflict from an analytical and practical perspective. Both preventive and response interventions as well as top-down and bottom-up approaches will be discussed in an interactive format where all participants are invited to contribute. The session is co-organised with the Clingendael Institute, Cordaid, Deltares, Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and the World Bank. If you are in Stockholm, please join us on Tuesday 29 August from 14.00-15.30 (Room: FH 300). The session will be moderated by Louise van Schaik (Clingendael Institute and PSI).
