Sustainable Energy Expert - Renewable Energy Group, University of Exeter
About George Jr. Matthew

Between 2009 and 2013 George worked on various EU funded projects for next generation voice over IP (VoIP) and internet of things (IoT) communication networks. George completed his PhD at The Open University which resulted in a novel System Dynamics (SD) policy and investment analysis framework. This framework is used to aid and improve the long-term investment decision making for electrically-isolated low-carbon based generation mixes.

George is currently a Post-doctoral research associate within the Renewable Energy Group at the University of Exeter. He works in the INTERREG funded intelligent community energy (ICE) project which seeks to develop smart energy solutions for isolated communities. George has research interests for the improved policy and investments, and integrated resource planning for low-carbon transitioning isolated electricity systems. He is also interested in policy and investments and innovative business models as applied to smart/er electricity systems.
