Professional background
Lukas Rüttinger is Senior Project Manager at adelphi. His work focuses on the links between environmental change and conflict. He has worked on the security implications of climate change for the UN, the OSCE, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, the German Foreign Ministry, and the G7. In addition to analyzing the security implications of climate change, he has developed instruments for analysing and managing conflicts concerning natural resources. He has advised development organisations on sustainable development in post-conflict countries, and devised policies and strategies for tackling complex challenges relating to the environment, climate, and fragility.
